Eesti Energia is concentrated on the development of the biggest power park in the Baltic’s which will cover 1.3 percent of the final electricity consumption in Estonia and save 120,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
Estonian state power company Eesti Energia has put into operation the biggest wind power park in the Baltics located in Aulepa in West Estonia, writes Postimees.The Aulepa wind power park cost nearly 900 million kroons to build. It has 13 wind generations and 39 MW total capacity.It will cover 1.3 pct of final electricity consumption in Estonia. In addition, the park will save 120,000 tons of CO2 emissions.The park was developed by Finnish company Winwind and took a little more than a year to complete. Eesti Energia plans to expand the Aulepa park with another 21 hectares.
