President Obama in his Weekly National Address has announced that the Department of Energy will award $2 billion to two solar energy companies: Abengoa Solar  (Spain) and Solar Manufacturing (USA). Additionally, Obama added that the planned project would create about 1,600 new American jobs plus the 70 % involvement of the construction components and products manufactured in the United States.
