 His Majesty the King of Spain Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia will pay their first state visit to Estonia from 4-5 May. The royal couple will be accompanied on their visit by Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Ángel Moratinos.
The Spanish royal couple will be received by President of the Republic Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Evelin Ilves. His Majesty the King of Spain will meet with Riigikogu speaker Ene Ergma and Prime Minister Andrus Ansip during his visit.
A meeting between Foreign Ministers Urmas Paet and Miguel Ángel Moratinos will also take place during the visit, during which a declaration on co-operation between the foreign ministries of Estonia and Spain will be signed.
