He was named Business and Finance Journalist of the Year 2006 at the British Press Awards. He is the author of the book What works published in January 2010. The book looks at examples of businesses and communities that have worked from all over the world. Hamish McRae explains that the idea behind the What Works project was the very simple one that we should look at success and try and learn from it, rather than have preconceived ideas about why some organizations and communities are successful and why other, which might appear equally promising, are not. So Hamish McRae looked at 20 examples from around the world and tried to draw common lessons from each. Fork buffet and wine will be served. The Independent is a British newspaper published by Alexander Lebedev’s Independent Print Limited. Participation fee: 400 EEK To register for this event please click here
